Documentation on Krause turbulence model

Dear community,
I am currently running a large number of tests for an aeroacoustic simulation, and I have noticed that the “Krause” turbulence model performs significantly better than other models.
My issue is that I have not been able to find detailed information about how this model works, apart from paywalled articles that do not necessarily guarantee answers to all my questions. I would therefore like to know which scientific article describes this model and which value of the model parameter is recommended.
