Hello everyone, I just learned openlb, I want to simulate the liquid bridge between two spherical particles, and get the value of the capillary force in the liquid bridge, I am not sure whether I can use openlb for my simulation. I wonder if anyone has done a similar simulation, any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Are the particles static or does their shape / position change during the time frame you are interested in?

You definitely can utilize OpenLB to model such phenomena, e.g. by combining our resolved particle model with one of our various multi phase / free surface models. However, there is no ready made example case for this setup so you will definitely need to invest your own development work to combine (and if needed extend) the existing functionality in OpenLB.

Thank you very much for your answer.

At the moment my particles are static, but at a later stage I would like to apply a constant velocity to one of them.

I dont see a problem with that!
