From experience, thats it. Best Mathias

That basically means that the simulation tuned close to unstable. In such cases the results are not really reliable. THerefore we add this code to stop the simulation.

Periodic BC might be more stable. We also have free outflow conditions. Please have a look in the dogygen documentation. It is called “convection” BC and simular to the one paper of Junk form Konstanz.

These parameteres depend on your actual geometry, so they come from outside!

It looks like they are incorrect!

    Hi lbmcoding,

you can extend the source code by your functor. I recomment to copy an existing similar one. You are also welcome to email as the code to include in the next version of OpenLB.

You actually can use any BC you want. For Bouzidi, the chance is not really complicated. Please, look at cylinder3d or our aorta3d example.

Have a look here, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reynolds_number . Changing the charRho will just change the result by the some constant. For the calculation of Re, it does not matter since it is already included in the kinematic viscosity charNu! BEst Mathias

If the roting system is symmetric, yes. Then only the BC needs to be chanced and a force term needs to be add. That is right. Yes, and for Bouzidi we have a velocity term included.

For a rotaing cylinder you just need to change the boundary conditon but we also have a cylinder coordinate system implementation. For it please check out the code in frameChange* .

You only need to change the viscosity such that the Reynolds number ist fine in the end. Best Mathias

Please, have a look at our various examples, e.g. cylinder3d/2d, as well as please consider to come to our next Spring School in Karlsruhe next year.

In the simulation you need to set the e.g. the velocity in lattice units. Best Mathias

Yes, you are right – it has been replaced. The new approach is much more flexible. You can further write e.g. gifs. On the website there is a little log about new features.

This is avoid pressure waves, i.e. to obtain a consistant initial condition. There are also other ways of doing it and some papers, too.
