It is the drag coefficient but it is an integral over a force computed by momentum exchange algorithm multiplied by some constants.

MathiasmathiasKeymasterDear Shaun,
you can have a look at the cylinder2d/3d example. We compute the drag there which is a small step to wall shear stress.

MathiasmathiasKeymastermathiasKeymasterYou should use Bounce Back as boundary condition.

MathiasmathiasKeymasterRight. It will be included in the next release which will be available in about amounth or two. Best mathias
mathiasKeymasterWe already did implement a free-slip condition. It works like bounce-back. Please have a look at the dogygen documentation on our web site.

MathiasmathiasKeymasterI would start with changing one of the multi-component examples by changing boundary conditions as well as putting new geometry features in.

MathiasmathiasKeymasterDear shaunellis-22,
your simulation diverged. Did you get nan straight after a few time steps? It might be that you set some unqhysical boundary conditions or the chosen force is too high. Also too high velocities yield to unstabliities. I would start with the provided example and change one thing after another checking all the time that the simulation is stable.

MathiasmathiasKeymasterDear shaunellis-22,
Have a look at our 2-phase and 2-component examples in the example section.

MathiasmathiasKeymasterIn order to help you, I need
a/ the outpout of the compilation process
b/ the COMPLETE output of the simulationBest
MathiasmathiasKeymasterDear cloner0101,
in the examlpe “cavity2d” you will find an xml-file which you can use to setup parts of the simulation. It is not yet as advanced as in OpenFoam.

MathiasmathiasKeymasterPlease recompile by “make cleanbuild” “make clean” and “make” and send me the output. Thanks Mathias
mathiasKeymasterDear Liliana,
can you post the output or send me by email. We did not see any problems so far. Please, also send me the versions of openmpi and g++?

MathiasmathiasKeymasterDear Sumit,
why dont you come to our spring school in Tunesia in March! We will have plenty of time to discuss your questions. There will be an extra lecture on turbulence by Patrick.
Best
