Dear takamori64,
To get a stable simulation without a turbulence model you need to refine the mesh. There are a lot of papers out there. We just submitted one about DNS. Please, like our researchgate profile and you will be updated. Further, you can get information at our spring school in March in Tunesia!

MathiasmathiasKeymasterDear kazui,
yes, that is far but the fee for it including the hotel and food is very low: 400 Euro! In 2018 it might be in Karlsruhe but for 2019 we are open also to go to Asia – but for it we would need the support from a local organizer! Let me know, if you know someone who likes to host it.

MathiasmathiasKeymasterDear all,
We have already done various benchmark studies which you can find discussed in our papers. Our spring school in March 2017 in Tunisia will also adress accurency. We will have a lecture and computing lap on that topic!

MathiasmathiasKeymasterDear takamori,
Did you install a g++ compiler? Which g++ version do you have? Please, try with a fresh downloaded version. We did not have any problems compiling on Linux systems so far.
Further, as you are a beginner, we strongly recomment you to come to our spring school next March which would give you a good start!Best
MathiasmathiasKeymasterJust leave ROOT unchaned. Best Mathias
mathiasKeymasterDear kazui1972,
In our springshool in March 2017 we will go though several tutorials (example) and provide the documentation.

MathiasmathiasKeymasterDear jackyko,
Yes, you are right. In version 1.0 it has already been corrected.

MathiasmathiasKeymasterDear Ivan,
Of course there are several ways. Most likely also in Paraview. I would program it directly in C++ simular to the implementation of the gif-writer.

MathiasmathiasKeymasterDear Klaus,
you can use a turbulence model as indicated in the nozzle example. To get deeper in this fiel I recommend to come to our spring school in March 2017. There will be a session on LBM turbulence as well as using OpenLB.

MathiasmathiasKeymasterDear Klaus,
please follow the instructions in our user guide, check if the options in Makefile.inc are set correctly. Further, you may consider to come to our spring school in March 2017 which would give you a good start into OpenLB.

MathiasmathiasKeymasterDear Klaus,
basically you need to program an indicator which return true if a given coordinate (x,y) is within an object and false if not.

MathiasmathiasKeymasterDear Klaus,
we do not have a special cavitation model but with LES you can at least resolve the big vorticies with low pressure. Have a look at our video on youtube for the safety valve.

MAthiasmathiasKeymasterDear Klaus,
I think you need to program this by hand.. But we had a paper on that topic, so you may kontact my Australian friend for help:
2016, N. Nadim, T.T. Chandratilleke and M.J. Krause. LBM-LES Modelling of Low Reynolds Number Turbulent Flow Over NACA0012 Aerofoil. In: Fluid-Structure-Sound Interactions and Control. Ed. by Yu Zhou, A.D. Lucey, Y. Lis and L. Huang. Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering. Springer Berlin Heidelberg, 2013, pp. 205-210, 2016.If the compiling did work, please say that in the forum that other people will not face the some problem again.

MathiasmathiasKeymasterDear Klaus,
just run “make” instead of “make j4” and it will work.

MathiasmathiasKeymasterDear Davide,
if you just wnat to link you can use
LDFLAGS :=
in our Makefile.inc. If you have your own code which also needs to be compiled you can have a look at the Makefile.inc of version 0.8. There we had serveral external includes.Best
