TreeCFD – Advancing Urban Sustainability through High-Fidelity Microclimate Modeling of Trees
The LBRG/KIT (LINK) project TreeCFD – Advancing Urban Sustainability through High-Fidelity Microclimate Modeling of Trees aims to develop advanced open source GPU-accelerated CFD solvers to simulate the effects of trees on urban aerodynamics, pollution reduction, and cooling. The goal is to significantly reduce simulation costs and make these models accessible for real-world applications in urban environments. This will empower urban planners, architects, and policymakers to make sophisticated decisions that enhance the well-being of residents.
