Dear Mr./Mrs. Yu,

in the PolynomialStartScale you give as input the charLatticeVelocity.
After that you take frac[0] and multiply it with the velocity. But the frac[0] in that case is already the velocity, so you don’t need to multiply it with the velocity one more time.
