Hi folks,rnrnI appreciate it if you could help me with my question.rnrnI am doing research on formation and motion of sand ripples. As an starting point, I want to simulate a sand grain as a particle hitting a sand bed and splashing the neighboring sand grains. rnrnDo you think Lattice Boltzmann is able to simulate this collision in the scale of sand grains?rnrnThank you very much,rnrnShayan
Hi Shayan,rnrnI think LBM is able to solve it but you may need a new collision operator. Which macroskopic equation is governing the problem? rnrnBest regardsrnMathias
