Dear all
I am a beginner to the topic LBM and have some small small doubts but don’t have anyone whom I can ask these questions. So thought to post them over here.
I am asking this from Sauro Succi “The lattice Boltzmann equation”(2001) page 8
in the equation 1.11
m∫fdv = ρ
right side is density and equal to mass/volume
in left side m is mass of a single particle and f is ensemble average of no of molecules and v is velocity how does dimensions of both the sides are equal?
Thanking you

that is all fine, here ar ethe SI units:
– m \int f(t,r,v) dv = \rho(t,r) [kg/m^3]
– m [m]
– f [1/m^3]
– rho [kg/m^3]
