“High Reynolds Number” case setup

Hello,
the relevant Reynolds number range of my problem lies between 100000 and 500000. Another aspect is that the flow transitions from laminar to turbulent. I am interested in lift and drag.
I tried to run the cylinder2d case at Re=340000 but that didn’t work.
How should I approach a setup? (turbulence model…)

Dear Klaus,
you can use a turbulence model as indicated in the nozzle example. To get deeper in this fiel I recommend to come to our spring school in March 2017. There will be a session on LBM turbulence as well as using OpenLB.
