Inclusion / Alternative to IBM in OpenLB

What is an alternative to the IBM model in OpenLB? I am trying to to simulate a deformable body. Do I need to change the cell values of the body from 0 to something else? How should one approach it?

you may check out our papers and examples in OpenLB on HLBM. That is an efficient alternative.
