Is is possible to have a mass inlet boundary condition or a kind of mass “source” for free surface flow simulations? I’d like to model an initially empty mold gradually being filled via an applied pressure.

I think an ad hoc way would be to prescribe the mass as constant at the boundary (after each step) along with a pressure boundary condition, but perhaps there is something better already implemented in the code. Does anyone have any experience simulating something similar? From what I can tell, all the free surface examples seem to conserve mass as opposed to having a mass source in the simulation.

The pressure bundary condition fixes the pressure, which is up to a constant the density. You can use that boundary condition actually by assigning the density in lattice units actually!
